KakiFix (“we”, “us”) operates kakifix.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
Personal data we collect
When you request a quote, book a site visit or contact us, we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, phone number, the area you live in, your property type, and a description of the job (including any selected price items and your written message).
Like most websites, our hosting provider also records basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance.
How we use your data
We use your data to respond to your enquiry, prepare your quote, arrange site visits, carry out the work you engage us for, and keep records of completed jobs. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
WhatsApp communication
Most of our communication happens over WhatsApp. When you contact us there, your messages are also handled by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under their own terms and privacy policy.
Where your data is stored
Enquiry data is stored securely with our infrastructure providers (Vercel for hosting, Supabase for our database). These providers may store data on servers outside Malaysia, including Singapore. We restrict access to this data to the people who need it to serve you.
Sharing of data
We only share your data with the service providers needed to run this website (listed above) and with our own team members handling your job. We will disclose data if required by Malaysian law.
Data retention
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as needed to serve you, honour our workmanship warranty, and meet legal and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your data earlier (see your rights below).
Your rights under the PDPA
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw your consent to its use, and ask us to delete it. To exercise any of these rights, message us on WhatsApp or email us using the contact details in the footer — we will respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies
This site uses only essential cookies needed for it to function (such as remembering your language choice and, for our staff, admin login sessions). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
